National Children’s Day in Turkey was introduced in the 1920s by the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk. It’s an idea that has spread across the world, engaging children from many countries each year and celebrating the fact that children are the future. There is even a symbolic moment when children take over the presidential seat, to draw attention to children’s issues
Let us all use the occasion to celebrate our children and, at the same time, to learn from them. We often hear that the future will need more of the qualities that children already possess - creativity, curiosity, and imagination.Sometimes children can sideline these qualities when we start telling them to focus on tests, yet they are vital qualities that we cannot afford to lose.
Feed your children's creative mind, let them ask all the questions they want and delight in the way their imagination delivers wonderful and expected ideas.
Yirmi uc Nisan kutlu olsun!
